Steve is originally from New York City.  He moved to Chattanooga in 1994 to work in cooperation with the EPA on a downtown super fund site, applying living technologies to clean up the dangerously Chattanooga Creek.

Steve has owned and operated a number of business throughout his tenure in Chattanooga.  He was Executive Director of the Nature Center at Reflection Riding and also Executive Director of SouthWings, a conservation air corps now based in Asheville, North Carolina.

He holds a Masters Degree in Science and is an expert in energy efficiency and design.  He is a founding partner of Consensus Energy based in Atlanta Georgia.

Steve and Michelle owned the St Elmo Building in historic St Elmo for 10 years.  The building houses 14 commercial tenants and is home to the well known 1885 grille.  After selling the property, Steve and Michelle decided to create the O'Neil Team to help others discover and experience the many wonderful properties, houses and neighborhoods of Chattanooga.  Although he and Michelle have lived in a number of local neighborhoods, he is a 20-year advocate of Chattanooga's downtown revival.  He currently serves as President of the Historic Fort Wood Neighborhood Association and is also on the Board of Directors of SoundCorps

Steve and Michelle live in the historic home of TC Thompson, built in 1897.  Steve and Michelle enjoy fine architecture and have a keen eye for quality built homes!
